Real-world waypoints, in your camera
Step 1
Save your Pylurs
Mark places you go, favorites you love, moments you remember (with photos) and places you want to visit. Give each a category and a beam colour. Keep them private, show them to all your friends, or share one — or a whole collection — with a note.
Step 2
Open Pylur Lens
Hold up your phone. Using GPS and the compass, Lens draws a tall pillar of light over everything in the camera view, with its name and distance. Off-screen beams get arrows at the edge. In the iPhone app, trees and buildings hide beams realistically.
Step 3
Switch layers
Four colour-coded layers: My Pylurs (purple), Friends (cyan), Squads (green) and Discover (gold). Turn each on or off to see just what you need.
Step 4
Find your people
Send a friend a one-time pin, share live for a while or until you stop, or start a Squad for the day. Everyone appears as a beam you can walk towards.
Step 5
Discover Drops
Gold beams are public Pylurs made of Drops — notes and photos people left there. You can see how many there are from anywhere, but you have to be within about 100 ft to read them.
How accurate is it?
Phone GPS is usually good to 5–15 m outdoors and compasses to a few degrees once calibrated. Pylur keeps beams a minimum width so far-away ones stay visible, and Lens shows the GPS and compass accuracy so you know how much to trust it.
